Valentine’s Day is happening this week. Lover? Hater? I have been on both sides of that line for Valentine’s Day. Let’s face it, if you are single, just had a bad break up, haven’t had a date in a while, or just pissed at love in general right now – you are not looking forward to February 14th. BUT not this year… Full on in the mood for loving and chocolates? Me too! So I decided to just throw out a little post with some thoughts for the upcoming holiday :D
Don’t be a robot! How are you going to have a life full of LOVE if you don’t let that great personality show through? Wear that crazy outfit you love and tell that stupid joke that only you find to be hilarious, it’s you!
Compete! There is nothing wrong with some healthy competition with your lover. Challenge each other and show your confident and bad ass…and if you lose, it’s still cute and they will try to make it up to you.
Let them breathe! Don’t suffocate your partner. Give them room to have their own space, and friend time. If the two of you can spend all the time in the world together that’s great but, come on, you know you want some “me time” too.
Get Naked! Feel comfortable in your own skin. Whether you like what you have going on or not there’s only a few things you can do to change it – Work out, it feels great! or Surgery, it’s expensive!…that’s about it. Either way sex and being confident with your partner is major and NEEDS to be one of the best parts of having you around.
Work on it! Great relationships do not just happen over night (see Kim Kardashian). Fights will bring you closer and will help you learn about who each of you really are. You are creating something when you are in a relationship, each layer builds what you are made of.
Indulge! Take unrestrained pleasure in each other…and also baked goods. Give them as gifts, make them as a surprise for your sweetie, and when needed, hide in the corner of your room and eat a whole bag of chocolate. It will make any problem better…for at least that moment
and lastly……..
Don’t be this person! If you are dating someone just to date someone, you are wasting your time. You could be out working on yourself, meeting new people and potentially meeting someone who is right for you. There is nothing wrong with being single on Valentine’s Day, pamper yourself!
Happy Valentine’s Day Lovers xoxo
