The 2013 year was without a doubt the fastest year ever. Time did not speed up, the Earth’s rotation did not make days shorter or cause a less of an orbit around the sun. The year did fly by but within 2013, there are many great milestones to celebrate and that is exactly what we are looking to do. What we would consider the best of 2013 is the addition of the Faded Loft to our offices in the Strip District. For those of you who always told us that we need our own nightclub or venue, we’ve essentially obtained just that. And on Monday the 23rd, the Eve of Christmas Eve, we will host our first official party – The Island of Misfit Toys.
Many local artists have been invited to participate in the event but one Pittsburgh artist will be on site doing a live painting. Matt Gondek has been a freelance illustrator and artist for about six years now working with all kinds of clothing companies, bands, extreme sports, wrestlers, and even the NBA. Gondek will be showcasing his skills during the Christmas-themed party and at the end of the night will be giving away the piece he creates.
Anyone who attends the event will have a chance to win the Island of Misfit Toys inspired live painting that Matt Gondek will create. Tickets will be on sale throughout the night with proceeds from the painting benefiting Cancer Fighting Princess. Cancer Fighting Princess (CFP) is a non-profit organization inspired by the vision of breast cancer survivor, Melissa Adams, created to help meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of young women throughout their cancer journey.
If you like what you see, come down to the event and check out his live painting!
