Former Pitt star accuses Pitt of sabotaging NBA chances
On Sunday, Pitt stunned Duke 76-62 at the Peterson Events Center. The victory almost guarantees that the Panthers will make the March Madness tourney. It’s been a long time since Pitt had this much momentum in the city.
Unfortunately, there is a story spreading at the same time about Jamie Dixon and how he handles his players. Numerous former players have gone on record discussing the coach and his predecessor Ben Howland. Apparently, it isn’t exactly heaven over there in Oakland.
We still are giving Pitt the opportunity to defend the allegations in which we will cover as the story unfolds.
In this soundbite, Carl Krauser drops a bombshell when discussing Jerry Sloan and a former Pitt associate head coach Barry Rohrssen. Rohrssen is known for being directly responsible for opening the pipeline between New York City and Pitt. Krauser was the most marketable basketball player in Pitt’s history because of his emotional playing style. The “X UP” movement created a buzz around the program.
Listen to this one minute segment in which Carl Krauser accuses Rohrssen of laughing at him. I have a full 30 minute full audio interview with Krauser but I am giving Pitt 3 days from now to respond before I post it. Enjoy. Follow me on Twitter @joshking65 for more Pitt basketball coverage.
