Well, we’re exactly a month away from Spidey’s May 2nd, 2014, release date… it’s time to have some fun with it. Why not watch Spider-Man break it down to “Here Comes the Hotstepper”, dance battle against his Baby-Me and see who’s got the better chops?

So first things first, hats off to Evian for the awesome commercial. I didn’t even know they were still a product. Not only are they a product, but they have a bankroll big enough to license out the Spider-Man character and contract out movie-quality CGI to plug the new movie and create a great looking Spidey Baby-Me. Speaking of which, lets get into some Baby-Me.

Spider-Man’s Baby-Me was made most popular by the newest generation of cartoon airing, Ultimate Spider-Man. To keep with that theme, ULTIMATELY Spider-Man is a wise-cracking, often very corny, extremely imaginative teenager, and Baby-Me is his mental view of himself either acting as his comedic conscience or visually playing out all kids of ridiculous scenarios in his head.  Ultimate Spider-Man‘s main focus is the incorporation of Spider-Man into The Avengers by giving him a team of younger super-heroes, so at times, even The Avengers have their own Baby-Me’s.

So there’s where Baby-Me fits into all of this. Ultimate Spider-Man is pretty good and has a bunch of episodes on Netflix. Definitely check it out and let me know what you think of it and the Evian dance video spot down in comments.
